Events at ODKSKMOTC occur and celebrated at regular intervals of any one year, such as the new Ethiopian year in September, Easter in December, and Epiphany in January. On only one occasion a fund-raising festival was conducted in Lincoln Nebraska, and all believers from different denominations and from all walks of life were invited. The festival provided a variety of Ethiopian food sold at an unbelievably cheap price despite its high quality and variety. Music was played to entertain guests and quite several festival attendees found themselves dancing at the dance floor.
